Many people struggle to understand the importance and applications available through SEO (Search Engine Optimization) services. These companies have sprouted up and with good reason 8211; SEO is currently the fastest and most effective way to launch your product or business online and create hype that is sustainable. You can really give your business a strong foundation by taking the SEO route. But all isn’t sunshine and roses, and you need to be ahead of the game in order to really ride the crest of the SEO wave.
When marketers first realized the sheer size of the possible distribution network that the internet offers, they probably fainted. So many people, so many prospective customers, so easy, so fast! So naturally, advertisers flocked to cyberspace to put up banners and bring in a never-ending stream of clients from across the globe. The problem soon became clear though. The massive amount of advertising caused a bottleneck, and competing companies basically crushed one another. Advertising en mass clearly didn’t work
From the ashes of these burnt out ideas came SEO. Very smart computer wizards figured out how to track the likes of internet consumers. Now, instead of throwing a bunch of ads at a crowd, marketers could position their advertisements in view of interested clients. We have all witnessed these trends, whether it be suggested friends on social networks or the overwhelming StumbleOn, marketers are becoming increasingly conscious of target marketing. Of course, this comes at a price, but business owners agree that the juice is worth the squeeze.
For the moment then, big business is happily profiting by putting their ads into circles that generate real interest and turnover. But let’s take a look at the future. Eventually, big business will hone their approach so finally that consumers will be furious and frustrated. It has been debated amongst philosophers that this supposed connectivity leads to isolation and withdrawal. The result for marketers is that people will turn away from target marketing, and once again seek out the personal touch. Here, small business may finally be able to rise up and claim their share of the pie. Of course, with the phenomenon of WordPress, small owners too are becoming seduced by the world of SEO and online marketing.
Perhaps this is a prophecy of gloom, but in a world that is increasingly interconnected and multi-disciplinary, it may be time to once again reflect on the likely action of the human mob, and keep our heads above water by taking a step back.
